Terms of Service
Effective October 27, 2026
These terms apply when you use a Matchmade league or tournament site, or the Matchmade Pickleball app. The service is provided by Matchmade Pickleball LLC ("Matchmade", "we", "us"), a West Virginia company.
The site you sign up on belongs to the facility you play at (for example, a club or gym). That facility runs its leagues and tournaments; Matchmade provides the software they run on. By creating an account or using a Matchmade site or the app, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. Your account
- Age. You must be at least 13 to create an account. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you. Accounts are not for children under 13.
- Your real details. Use your real name, as it will appear on schedules and standings, and keep your email address and phone number up to date so your facility can reach you.
- One account each. Create one account for yourself, and do not sign up on someone else's behalf without their permission. One account works at every Matchmade facility.
- Keep it secure. Keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens under your account; tell your facility or us at once if you think someone else is using it.
2. Your facility runs the play
Your facility, not Matchmade, decides and is responsible for:
- its leagues and tournaments, divisions, schedules, rules and results;
- registration fees, payments and refunds (you pay the facility directly, through its own payment link; Matchmade never takes your money);
- any waiver, membership or facility rules you agree to with it; and
- the courts, equipment and safety at its premises.
Questions about any of these go to your facility. Its contact details are on its site.
3. What other people can see
League play is public, the way a scoreboard is. When you register for a league or tournament, anyone visiting your facility's site, signed in or not, can see:
- your name, and your partner's or team's name;
- your schedule, scores, standings, playoff results and medals;
- your player page, with your match history; and
- your DUPR rating, if you have linked a DUPR account.
Your email address and phone number are not shown publicly. Your facility's admins can see them, and, if your facility switches it on, the players you are scheduled against may receive your phone number in their weekly schedule email so you can arrange your match. The privacy policy explains the rest.
4. Scores, DUPR and ratings
- Entering scores. Only the players in a match and the facility's admins can enter or change its score. Enter scores honestly and promptly. Your facility can correct any score and has the final say on results.
- DUPR. Where your facility uses DUPR, you can link your DUPR account. By linking it, you allow us to show your DUPR rating and to submit the results of your matches at that facility to DUPR, where they count toward your rating. DUPR is a separate company with its own terms; your DUPR account and ratings are governed by them.
- Ratings are a guide. Ratings come from DUPR, and standings from the scores entered. We work to show them accurately but cannot guarantee them, and divisions or eligibility based on them are your facility's decision.
5. Fair play
When using the service, please do not:
- enter false scores, or change a result you know to be wrong;
- pretend to be another player, or register someone without their permission;
- choose a name or team name that is offensive, misleading or someone else's;
- use other players' contact details for anything except arranging play at your facility;
- try to get into accounts, admin screens or data that are not yours, or interfere with the service; or
- use the service to break the law or harass anyone.
Your facility or we may correct content, remove you from an event, or suspend an account that breaks these rules.
6. Emails, notifications and the app
- Emails. By registering for an event you agree to receive emails about it, such as your weekly schedule, partner and team invitations, and results. Your facility may also send announcements about its play.
- Phone alerts. In the app you can turn on alerts for court assignments, your week ahead and new scores. Each can be switched off on your Me page or in your phone's settings.
- The app. The Matchmade Pickleball app is free. Apple's App Store terms also apply to your use of it, and Apple is not responsible for the app or these terms.
7. Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time from your Me page (Edit profile > Delete Account). This removes your login, profile, contact details, registrations and DUPR link.
Your name stays in past schedules, scores, standings and brackets, so that other players' records and results stay correct. Deleting your account does not cancel or refund any fee you paid your facility; ask the facility about that.
8. Ours and yours
The Matchmade software, app, name and logo belong to Matchmade; each facility's name and logo belong to that facility. You may use the service for your own play, but not copy, resell or take apart the software.
You keep any rights in what you add, such as your profile details or a team name. You allow Matchmade and your facility to show and store it as needed to run the leagues and tournaments you take part in, including after you leave, as Section 7 describes.
9. Disclaimers and limits
- Playing is at your own risk. Pickleball is a physical sport. Matchmade provides software only and is not responsible for injuries, property loss or anything else that happens at a facility or during play. Your facility's waiver and rules govern play there.
- The service is provided as is. We work to keep it running and accurate, but we do not promise it will always be available, error-free, or that schedules, scores or ratings will always be correct. Check with your facility if something looks wrong.
- Limit on liability. To the fullest extent the law allows, Matchmade is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and its total liability to you for any claim about the service is limited to $100. The service is free to players.
- Some places do not allow these limits, so some of them may not apply to you. Nothing here limits rights the law gives you that cannot be waived.
10. Changes, law and contact
- Changes. We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you by email or on the site before they take effect. Using the service after that means you accept the new terms.
- Ending access. You can stop using the service at any time. We or your facility may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms, or close a facility's site if the facility stops using Matchmade.
- Law. West Virginia law governs these terms, and disputes go to the courts of West Virginia, except where the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim there.
- Contact. Questions about these terms: info@matchmadepb.com. Questions about your leagues, fees or results: your facility.
