Privacy Policy

Matchmade Pickleball LLC ("Matchmade") runs league and tournament websites for pickleball facilities, and the Matchmade Pickleball app that opens them. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who can see it, and how you can delete it. It covers every facility site that runs on Matchmade and the app. Our Terms of Service cover using them.

Information we collect

• Account details you give us: your name, email address and phone number, and your password (stored only in scrambled, one-way form; we never see it).
• League and tournament activity: the leagues, tournaments and teams you register for, your partners, your schedule, and the scores you or others record.
• DUPR, if you choose to link it: your DUPR ID and ratings, and the access tokens DUPR provides so we can show your rating and submit match results on your behalf.
• In the app: which facility you picked, saved on your device so the app opens it next time. If you turn on notifications, a device token so we can send them.

We do not use advertising, ad trackers or analytics that follow you across other apps or websites, and we do not collect your location.

How we use it

• To run your leagues and tournaments: registration, schedules, standings, brackets and court assignments.
• To email you your weekly schedule, partner and team invitations, score results and messages from your facility's organizers.
• To show your DUPR rating and, when you take part in a match submitted to DUPR, to send that result to DUPR.
• To keep the service secure and working, and to answer you when you contact us.

Who can see your information

• Everyone: your name, your DUPR rating, the teams you play on, and your match results and standings appear on your facility's public pages, as they would on a league notice board.
• Your facility's organizers: can see your email address and phone number, to run their events and contact you. Some facilities include phone numbers in the weekly schedule email sent to the players you are scheduled with.
• Service providers who run parts of Matchmade for us: Supabase (database and sign-in), Cloudflare (website hosting), Resend (sending email), Apple (app notifications, if you turn them on), GitHub (backups of league and score records, without contact details) and, if you link it, DUPR. They handle your information only to provide their service.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time: sign in, open your Me page, choose Edit profile, then Delete Account. This permanently removes your sign-in, profile, contact details, registrations and DUPR link. Your name remains on past schedules, scores and brackets, so that results and standings stay correct for the other players. If you would like those removed as well, email us.

How long we keep it

We keep your account information for as long as your account exists. League and tournament results are kept as the history of those events. Backups of the database are kept for up to 90 days.

Security

Your information is sent over encrypted connections and stored with providers that protect it. Access to contact details is limited to your facility's organizers and the platform owner. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe.

Children

Matchmade is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be announced on the site.
